DosageThe dosage is individual, based on the body weight. Generally, daily subcutaneous administration in the evening is recommended. The injection site should be varied to prevent lipo-atrophy. Patients should be reminded to wash their hands thoroughly with soap water and/or disinfectant prior to administration.The solution should be protected from light and not be shaken vigorously at any time.Pediatric growth hormone deficiency (GHD): 0.024 - 0.034 mg/kg/d, 6 -7 times per weekPediatric patients with short stature associated with Noonan syndrome: Up to 0.066 mg/kg/dPediatric patients with short stature associated with Turner syndrome: Up to 0.067 mg/kg/dPediatric patients with short stature born small for gestational age with no catch up growth by age 2 - 4 years: Up to 0.067 mg/kg/dAdult GHD: From 0.004 mg/kg/d gradually increasing to and not exceeding 0.016 mg/kg/d after approximately 6 weeks.After injection of growth hormone the needle should remain under the skin for at least 6 seconds.Health care professionals, relatives and other carers should follow general precautionary measures for the removal and disposal of needles to eliminate the risk of unintended needle penetration.
